De Soto grad recognized a top young Chicago lawyer
Jill M. Webb, a 1989 graduate of DeSoto High School, was named Aug. 29 one of the 40 Lawyers Under Forty to watch in Illinois as reported by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer Magazine. There are about 20,000 lawyers in Illinois younger than 40.
Webb is a partner at Phillips Law Offices in Chicago. As a trial lawyer in Illinois, she focuses on representing those harmed by the negligence of others in medical malpractice, trucking accidents, construction site accidents and from unsafe consumer products.
She continued her education after De Soto High School at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., where she graduated in 1993, and then graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago in 1996.
She was admitted to practice in Illinois and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1996. In 2005, she successfully petitioned to be admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

million n the past year, as well as successfully co-counseling numerous cases at trial
Webb is also an adjunct professor at Loyola University Chicago College of Law, where she teaches a course on civil litigation. In addition to teaching, she is active in numerous bar associations including The American Association for Justice, Illinois Trial Lawyers
Association, Women's Bar Association of Illinois, and Illinois State Bar Association.
She resides in Chicago with her husband Neil.
