Don’t question my integrity
I would like to just sit back and let the voters decide on this attempt at another bond issue, but I will not accept a personal attack that simply is not true. When I was the only dissenting vote on this bond, I stated that I would not publicly campaign against it. I have not — contrary to Randi Flinn’s accusations.
I still don’t support the bond for a number of reasons; the economy, past construction and planning procedures, and because options should be on the table that would alleviate some of the crowding issues. These are just a few of the many problems
I and many of our constituents have to consider on Nov. 4. On my desk I have posted a quote by George Eliot that reads, “Keep true, never be ashamed of doing right, decide on what you think is right, and stick to it.” From the beginning of this bond process I have not changed my opinion. I’m voting “No.”
When my integrity is questioned I have to respond.
