State Sen. Nick Jordan, the Republican candidate for the U.S. House in District 3, will be chatting live and taking reader-submitted questions at 1 p.m. today on our sister Web site, LJWorld.com

Jordan, of Shawnee, has been a state senator for 12 years, has a background in hotel management and is currently a small-business owner with his wife.

He’s looking to oust U.S. Rep. Dennis Moore, a Democrat who’s served in Congress since 1999. Moore will be chatting at 11 a.m. Oct. 23 on LJWorld.com.

I saw you said that the KS State Senate provided a lot of money for education in Kansas. But I also searched your record on the KC Star and it indicated that you constantly voted against funding proposals for the state schools. How can you claim that you provided education funding when you clearly voted against funding all the time?
