Those who must register in addition to first-time voters are those who changed their name or address since last voting or who wish to change party affiliations.

State law requires first-time voters to produce identification at one of four times in the registration process. They are:

• Time of registration.

• After registration but before election day.

• On election day.

• After election day but before the county canvass.

Among acceptable forms of identification are a driver’s license, bank statement, utility bill, paycheck or other government document such as a passport or military ID. For a complete list of identification requirements, see www.jocoelection.org.
