The De Soto Book Club will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the De Soto Library for adult book discussions. No registration is required. For more details, including a list of books to be discussed, call 583-3106.

¢ The De Soto Library will sponsor StoneLion Puppet Theatre's production of "Bubba and Trixie" from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. June 6 at The Crossing Youth Center, 33180 W. 83rd St. The play is a story of Bubba, a "nervous Nelly" caterpillar, who is afraid to leave his leaf. He meets Trixie, a crimped-wing fearless ladybug. The two-minute puppet play is based on the book by local author and illustrator Lisa Campbell Ernst. The show is for children in pre kindergarten to third grade.

¢ The De Soto Library will have Wii Sports and other video games available for play at 3:30 p.m. June 6 for youth 18 and younger.

¢ The De Soto Library will present "Bug Hunters" from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. June 13 at The Crossing Youth Center, 33180 W. 83rd St. Children in grades kindergarten through sixth will learn about spiders, frogs and insects and how they hunt bugs that eat flowers, fruits and vegetables. A buggy snack will be shared.

¢ The De Soto Library will offer Xbox gaming from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. June 20 for youth 18 and younger.

¢ Devin Henderson will present "The Magic of Reading" at 10:30 a.m. June 27 at The Crossing Youth Center, 33180 W. 83rd St. The event is sponsored by the De Soto Library for children ages 4-12. Henderson will present a 45 minute interactive show with the message "If you have any kind of interest, you can read about it in a book."
