Three from De Soto graduate from Pitt State

Pittsburg State University had its commencement exercises May 16-17.

De Soto students who earned degrees were William Guntert, Bachelor of Science; Clinton Skaggs, Bachelor of Business Administration; and Kent Williams, Bachelor of Science in technology.

Emporia State graduation

Emporia State University had its commencement exercises May 17.

De Soto students who earned degrees were Gregory Francis, Bachelor of Arts; Chad Groen, Bachelor of Arts; and Jennifer Petronella, Bachelor of Science in education, cum laude.

Jamie Voorhies, De Soto, earned a Master of Science.

Baker dean's list

Dominique Adkins, Austin DeGraeve and Allyssa King, all of De Soto, were named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at Baker University. To be named to the dean's list, students must earn a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5.

Gray earns nursing degree

Kimberly Gray, a 2004 De Soto High School graduate, recently graduated from Baker University's School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in nursing and made the spring 2008 Dean's List for maintaining a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

She is the daughter of Kim and Bonnie Gray, Olathe.
