¢ De Soto was quite noisy these last few days because of the Fourth of July celebrations. Firecrackers and rockets were heard and seen throughout the city. This is the first time I missed the city display at the high school track field. I didn't ask anyone to pick me up as family was all out of town. I was weak that day too. I heard and saw them in the neighborhood quite late.

They went to all the islands there and also out to the USS Arizona, which was sunk in World War II. They saw many shows and sights. Sue told me she was glad to get back home, though.

My deceased husband Luther Nalley's three sisters came with some of their families from California, Colorado and Springfield, Mo. We had nieces and nephews from each family. My five children were there. We took lots of pictures.
