Students essay entries wanted
A new essay competition sponsored by Kansas Action for Children invites all seventh and eight-grade students across Kansas to compete for prizes and a radio appearance.
The competition asks students to voice their opinion about what their generation needs in order to reach its full potential.
Students may enter the essay competition as individuals, or teacher may submit on behalf of their classes, according to a KAC release.
Students with essays selected will read their essays aloud to be aired on Kansas Public Radio. The top writer from both seventh- and eight-grade will each receive a $100 Amazon.com gift card. Additional essays well be posted on KAC’s Web site.
Essays must be postmarked by Jan. 30. For more details on the competition visit www.kac.org/essay.
