Family Fun Day at JoCo Museum

The Johnson County Museum will have a Family Fun Day for visitors of all ages from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008 at the Johnson County Museum of History, 6305 Lackman Rd. in Shawnee.

Children and their parents can make a holiday ornament to take home. Visitor’s can also view the museum’s latest exhibit, KidScape. KidScape is a hands-on suburban streetscape filled with kid-friendly activities to help youngsters learn about community.

KidScape is designed for children ages 3 to 9 years and will run September 20, 2008 to August 23, 2009. It is a free exhibit.

KidScape offers six enticing environments: bookstore, park, City Hall, hospital, fashion boutique, and theater. Every environment offers hands-on activities and simulations for children to explore and learn.
