Bond’s passage important to all

September 6, 2007

DeSoto USD 232 is consistently recognized as one of the best in the state of Kansas. Though my wife and I do not yet have children, we see the approval of the upcoming school bond as an investment in the future of our neighborhood.

Good schools mean higher real estate values, an increase in positive business activity, and a safe community.

Certainly we all want to see more opportunities and resources for the children, but beyond that (and more selfishly) everyone -- whether parents of school-age children or not -- should recognize that this is an investment that will pay off for all homeowners.

Not passing this bond will mean overcrowded classrooms and limited options as growth continues, degrading our most valuable asset to attracting continued interest from potential homebuyers and business owners.

Please join us in voting "yes" on questions 1 and 2.
