Elmer E. Neidholdt
Services for Elmer Ervin Neidholdt, Joplin, Mo., were Thursday, Oct. 4, at Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, Mo. Burial was in Bethany Cemetery north of Keytesville, Mo.
Mr. Neidholdt died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at his home.
He was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Brunswick, Mo., the son of Fredrick and Olga Kaylor Neidholdt. He lived in Brunswick from 1921 to 1947 when he moved to De Soto, where he resided until 1971 when he moved to Keytesville, Mo., and then to Joplin in 1992.
Mr. Neidholdt served in the United States Army and Air Force during World War II, receiving an honorable discharge in 1945.
He was a lifelong farmer, retiring in 1992.
Mr. Neidholdt was of the Baptist faith.
He married Mary Ellen Lybarger on June 19, 1942. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a song, Glendon Neidholdt, Joplin; a daughter, Gail Davis, Elkland, Mo.; a sister, Margie Nickolsen, Republic, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Keith Neidholdt, in 1987, and five brothers, George Neidholdt, Everett Neidholdt, Herb Neidholdt, Pete Neidholdt, and Melvin Neidholdt.
