The De Soto United Methodist Church Youth Group is having a Community Bingo Night from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday in the church's fellowship hall to raise funds for missions. The cost is $10 for an adult card and $5 for a children's card.
There will be a concessions stand and area merchants have donated prizes. Childcare also will be provided.
The DUMC appreciates the donations made to the De Soto Multi-Service Center. 1300 grocery items were collected for the needy.
The DUMC Youth Group will not have Parents Night Out on Friday, Oct. 12 because of to school activities.
The DUMC is requesting donations of Campbell's Soup labels. The labels can be dropped off at the church's narthex.
The DUMC wishes thank those who helped beautify the church with landscaping and the planting of flowers.
Some Valley Springs area residents were unable to attend church this past Sunday because their water was not working.
