K-10 nominations sought
The K-10 Association is taking nominations for the 13th Annual K-10 Corridor Awards Program.
The program, established in 1995, includes two categories: Service Award and Development Award.
The K-10 Service Award is presented to the individual or organization that has made an outstanding contribution(s) toward promoting the goals of the Association.
The K-10 Development Award recognizes the individual, company or institution which has significantly contributed to the successful economic development of the corridor through establishing a new or expanded business, enhancing the design character of the corridor or otherwise contributing to the development of the corridor.
The awards will be announced at this year's annual meeting at 11:30 a.m. June 8 at the Shadow Glenn Golf Club at Cedar Creek in Olathe.
Dr. Terry Calaway, newly appointed President of Johnson County Community College will be the keynote speaker.
Cost to attend the luncheon is $30 per person for members and $35 per person for non-members.

Nomination forms should be submitted to the K-10 Association by mail, fax or e-mail no later than May 24.
Charles Sunderland at De Soto High School won the Service Award in 1996. Intervet in De Soto won the Development Award in 2002.
