City of Bones

By Michael Connelly

Mystery (2002)

In this Harry Bosch mystery, Harry has enough traumas hit his body and emotional life to kill any normal person.

This time, Harry is working on New Year's Day and gets a call about a bone dug up by a dog. Of course, the bone turns out to be human, and soon an entire skeleton of a child is found to have been buried there 20 years earlier. It's up to Bosch to find out who the child was and how he died.

Harry encounters some personal sadness in the process, all part of Connelly's "Harry Bosch formula."
