Starside third-graders tell the story of Hansel and Gretel’s edible house
December 20, 2007
Forget about "Let it Snow," "Silent Night" or "Here comes Santa Claus." Starside music teacher Rachel Mikel had something more original in mind for the third-grade holiday musical this year.
The students performed a musical that told the story of Hansel and Gretel's woes with their gingerbread house.
Woodland creatures and neighbors destroyed the house by eating it. Hansel and Gretel thought all was lost, but the neighbors and animals felt bad.
After calling a television show that does home remodeling for those in need, Hansel and Gretel's house was repaired and the neighborhood was back to normal again.
