Multi-Service Center seeks help, donations
December 20, 2007
The De Soto Multi-Service Center, a program of Johnson County Human Services and Aging, has provided holiday assistance for the last 30 years to those in the De Soto community and school district area that do not have the resources to provide for themselves during the upcoming holiday season including families with children, isolated older persons and those who are disabled.
The center is asking donors to help provide for the basic needs of those people.
Needed items include turkeys and hams for Christmas food baskets; monetary donations toward the purchase of food, clothing, gifts for children and utility bill payments; gift cards from grocery stores or clothing stores; and sponsorships of needy persons or families by groups or individuals.
To donate, contact the De Soto Multi-Service Center as soon as possible.
