"Are You a Square" will take place at 11 a.m. Friday.
Participants will discover how height is related to arm span. Math skills will be challenged by estimating, measuring ad graphing while using the science processes to gather and record data, then classifying and interpreting the data.
The activity could take 45 to 60 minutes.
The "Rocks and Minerals of Kansas" workshop will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the library.
Participants interested in exploring, hiking or camping can learn more about the Kansas landscape and specific rocks and minerals.
The De Soto Library offers an adult book discussion at 1 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month.
The group chooses a book -- anything from classics to murder mysteries to romance.
