The De Soto Rotary Club will have a chili challenge Oct. 28 at Zimmerman's Kill Creek Farm to benefit Libby Stone, a De Soto resident in need of a liver transplant.
Groups, individuals, schools, businesses and non-profit organizations are encouraged to enter.
Entry fee for cookers will be $10, which must be paid in advance. Entry deadline is Oct. 22.
Contestants should arrive at Zimmerman's Kill Creek Farm at 9 a.m. Oct. 28 for set up.
Each contestant will provide at least three gallons of their favorite chili, propane appliances to keep the chili warm and chairs. Tents and tables will be provided.
The chili will be sold and the proceeds will go to the Libby Stone Fund. People's choice judging will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
