Teen writers’ cafe gears up
Johnson County Library will host the Teen Writers' Cafe at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Central Resource Library, 9875 W. 87th Street.
Teens whose works are published in the fall 2006 issue of "elementia," the library's teen literary magazine, will read from their works. The program is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Refreshments will be served.
The first issue of "elementia" was published in the fall 2005. The second issue was printed in spring 2006.
Those ages 12 to 18 are encouraged to submit original prose, poetry and illustrations.
The entire contents of the first and second issue are available on the library Web site www.jocolibrary.org or the library teen page http://teens.jocolibrary.org.
Contents of the third issue will be available after Tuesday.
