Services for Beverly V. Keeling, 95, Oskaloosa, were Saturday, Nov. 18, at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.
Mr. Keeling died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, at Coopers Home Care in Lawrence.
He was born Oct. 19, 1911, in Oskaloosa, the son of Alfred Wayne and Josephine "Josie" Pinzon Keeling. He graduated from Oskaloosa High School and attended Atchison Vo-tech School. He was a lifelong resident of Oskaloosa.
Mr. Keeling and his brother Jim owned and operated Keeling Brothers Heating, Refrigeration and Appliance Store in Oskaloosa for many years. He also worked as an electrician at Hercules Plant in De Soto for many years.
He was a member of Oskaloosa United Methodist Church and a 60-year member and past master of Masonic Lodge 14 in Oskaloosa. He was a charter member of Oskaloosa Lake Club.
He married Orpha Mae Cary on Feb. 22, 1934, in Oskaloosa. She died Aug. 2, 2001.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn E. and husband Harold Swoyer, Gladstone, Mo., and Karen and husband Arnie Johnson, Lawrence; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Oskaloosa Community Center Building Fund, sent in care of the Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa 66066.
