Graveside services for Claudine Agnes Greenlee Bell, 86, Wellsville, were Monday, Nov. 6, in Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City.
Ms. Bell died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at Baldwin Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Nov. 19, 1919, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Claude and Pearl Clayton Greenlee. She grew up and attended schools in Kansas City, Kan.
Ms. Bell worked at Sunflower Ammunition Depot in De Soto. She later worked for Hallmark Cards in Lawrence for 16 years and retired Jan. 31, 1978. She continued to work after retirement at Baker University as a switchboard operator and later at Baldwin Healthcare Center. She was a member of Ives Chapel United Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge in Baldwin.
She married John Porter Bell Jr. on Oct. 10, 1942. He died Jan. 27, 2002.
A son, Darryl D. Bell, also died earlier.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth R. Bell, Wellsville; two daughters, Dorothy Ann, New Port, Ore., and Sue Drew, Grapevine, Texas; a sister, Francis Cooper, Bonner Springs; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Ives Chapel United Methodist Church, sent in care of Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 64, Baldwin City 66006.
