Johnson County Museum
The Johnson County Museum of History, 6305 Lackman Road, Shawnee, is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. It is closed Monday and major holidays.
Admission is free.
The Lanesfield School Historic Site, 187th and Dillie Road in Edgerton, is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays.
Visitors can practice penmanship, cipher math problems on a slate, or participate in a spelling bee with a costumed schoolteacher.
Built in 1869, the school is the only building that remains on the town site of Lanesfield, a mail stop on the Santa Fe Trail.

The 1950s All-Electric House, 6305 Lackman Road in Shawnee, is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for youth ages 12 and younger for guided tours.
The 1950s All-Electric House has been restored to its original appearance as a KCP&L show home.
