A landscaping session will take place at 10:30 a.m. March 11 at the library.

The De Soto Library will be open during spring break.
A soap making session will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. March 17 at the library.

"Spanish Storytime at the Library" for youth ages 3 to 5 will be at 10:30 a.m. March 24. Stories, fingerplays and songs will take place.

An adult winter reading contest is currently taking place at the De Soto Library.
"Read Around the World in 90 Days" is this year's theme for the program, which ends March 31.
Those who read six books from one of seven categories will be entered in the De Soto prize drawing. Reading logs are available at all library branches and online.

Homework help is available from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through May 16 at the De Soto Library.
The program provides homework coaches, trained community volunteers and library staff, who are available to assist students after school. The library provides a space for students to complete their daily assignments. The program's goal is to teach students how to use library resources to complete their homework assignments.

The De Soto Library offers an adult book discussion at 1 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month.
The group chooses a book -- anything from classics to murder mysteries to romance.
