Willow Springs FCE
The Willow Springs F.C.E. met Feb. 17 at De Soto Baptist Church. Georgeanna Taylor was hostess.
The tables were decorated in a Valentine's theme.
Dorothy Nalley gave the table grace. A luncheon was served. Georgeanna Taylor baked a ham and made quiche. Other members brought salads and desserts.
The drawing for the "pigs" took place. ElFreeda Payton and Leota Fruit won the "pigs," which were brought by Laura Long. They were large fragrance candles.
Collections were taken and $10 was donated to the church rental.
Roll call was answered by naming "Your First Sweetheart."
Rosemary McAninch handed out the FCE forecasts and presented the lesson on "You Want Me to What?" The lesson was on what to do when asked to be a speaker at a meeting and the steps to follow.
Laura Long was able to attend the meeting after her recent heart attack and stroke.
Leota Fruit became a new member. She will be retiring March 13 from the SRS. where she has worked for many years.
Those absent were Jean Epperson, Kathy Hayden and Reta Jenks.
Total hours given were 51. Future lessons were handed out and exchanges were made.
The next meeting will be March 17 with Laura Long as hostess.
