It’s not that Neil Erisman had only one reason for wrestling in the Frontier League championships Saturday in Baldwin. Another Frontier title — he already had three — provided some motivation, but the meet was supposed to be the 171-pound standout’s final chance to gear up before the weekend’s regional meet, which will determine if Erisman will have a chance to win his long-sought state title.

A 24-hour paramedic advanced response unit has been stationed in De Soto since June 2004, said Med-Act Deputy Chief Dennis Sosna. First placed in the De Soto downtown fire station, it recently moved to its new and larger quarters in the expanded Johnson County Fire District No. 3 station on Kill Creek Road.
