Food items sought

Kaw Prairie Community Church members have teamed up with Harvesters, the Community Food Network, to kick off its first grassroots anti-hunger campaign, "Sack Hunger," on Super Bowl Sunday.

Kaw Prairie members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to services at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at St. James Academy, 24505 Prairie Star Parkway, Lenexa. A Harvesters truck will be available to collect the items.

Kaw Prairie Community Church meets weekly at 9:30 a.m. Sundays at St. James Academy. Free childcare is provided in the nursery.
