Obituary: Curtis J. Dabbs
Services for Curtis J. Dabbs, 74, De Soto, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel in De Soto. Burial will follow in Shawnee Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dabbs died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 15, 1932, in Neosho, Mo., the son of Hugh and Lottie Dabbs.
Mr. Dabbs joined the Army in 1952 and served in Korea. He moved to De Soto in 1971.
He married Helen Dingus on March 23, 1953. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Suzan Dean and Connie Hill, both of Gardner; six sons, Leon Dabbs, Curtis Dabbs, Wayne Dabbs, David Dabbs, Doug Dabbs and Virgil Dabbs, all of De Soto; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
His parents and two brothers, Junior Dabbs and Carroll Dabbs, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 32665 Lexington Avenue in De Soto.
