Services for Mabel "Ruth" Buckley, 94, Gardner, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the De Soto United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the De Soto Cemetery.
Mrs. Buckley died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, at Vintage Park in Gardner.
She was born Nov. 17, 1912, in Ft. Scott, the daughter of Harry William and Mary Ellen Bauder Kahmann. She grew up in Ft. Scott and graduated from Ft. Scott High School. She and her husband lived in Hiawatha. They moved to De Soto in 1953.
Mrs. Buckley was a member of the De Soto United Methodist Church, the Rebekahs, Royal Neighbors, Satisfied Seniors and Merry Makers.
She married Ferman B. Buckley on Oct. 17, 1937, in Ft. Scott. He died in 1974.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara J. Barthol, Olathe, and Mary E. Cox, Olathe; two sons, Larry J. Buckley, Bella Vista, Ark., and Samuel T. Buckley, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a stepson, Ronald Lee Buckley, Riverside, Calif.; a sister, Margaret Lavery, Topeka; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Robert L. Buckley, a granddaughter Rhonda and two brothers, Howard Kahmann and Glen Kahmann preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to service time at the church.
