Area churches set Christmas services

De Soto Baptist Church, 8655 Church St., will have its Christmas cantata at 7 p.m. Sunday with its annual candlelight service afterward.

De Soto United Methodist Church will have its Christmas cantata at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the church, 8760 Kill Creek Road.
The church will have its Christmas Eve candlelight service at 5 and 11 p.m. All faiths are welcome to attend.

Holy Family Catholic Church, 820 Birch St., Eudora, will have a Christmas Eve mass at 5 p.m. and a youth mass at 8 p.m. Christmas morning services will be at 9 a.m.

Victory Place Church will have its Christmas Eve service at 3 p.m. Dec. 24 at Hillside Village of De Soto, 33600 W. 85th St.
All faiths are welcome to attend.

Faith Builders International, 8390 Peoria, will have its Christmas Eve service at 9 a.m. Dec. 24 at the church.
The church will also have a New Year's Eve "Blowout" at 6 p.m. Dec. 31 at the church.

Clearview Baptist Church, 35800 W. 102nd St., Clearview City, will have its Christmas Eve service at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 24. There will not be an evening service on Christmas Eve.
The church will have New Year's Eve service at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 31. There will not be an evening service on New Year's Eve.

Kaw Prairie Community Church will have its children's program "A Piece of Christmas" at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the church, which meets at St. James Academy, 95th and Clare, Lenexa. A freewill donation chili brunch will follow the performance at 11 a.m.
Family Christmas Eve barn services will take place at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 24 at Zimmerman's Kill Creek Farm, Kansas Highway 10 and Kill Creek Road in De Soto.
