Jean C. Milliren
Graveside services for Jean C. Milliren, 80, Lawrence, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, Mo.
Mrs. Milliren died Friday, April 7, 2006, at Brandon Woods Health Center in Lawrence.
She was born Aug. 14, 1925, in Hamlet, N.C., the daughter of James Ward and Ivel Jordan McNeely. She lived in the Kansas City, Mo., and Overland Park areas most of her life.
Mrs. Milliren retired from the Department of Agriculture in 1985. She was a member of Full Faith Church of Love in Shawnee, and a charter member of First Southern Baptist Church in Overland Park.
She married Dwight Milliren in 1946. He died in 1988.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Milliren, De Soto, and Kirk Milliren, Topeka; a daughter, Wanda Schmidt, Lawrence; two brothers, Hugh McNeely, Georgia, and Robert McNeely, Texas; and four grandchildren.
