Orville Lee Willis
Private graveside services for Orville Lee Willis, 83, will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Robinson, Kan.
Mr. Willis died Sunday, May 22, at Olathe Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 17, 1921, in VanBuren, Mich., the son of Bert and Clara Willis. He graduated from Bangor High School, Bangor, Mich., in 1939 and attended Kansas University. He was a WWII Veteran in the United States Airforce.
Mr. Willis retired from Missouri Pacific railroad after 21 years of service. He was a retirement center administrator. He was a member of Bayers Ave, United Methodist Church, V.F.W., AF & AM, Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star of Hiawatha. He was a member of the De Soto United Methodist Church.
He married Maxine Simmonds of Kansas City in 1945. She died in 1954. He married Caroline House in 1957.
Survivors include a wife, Caroline, of the home, two daughters, Sue Luken, Kimberling City, Mo., Judy Hileman, De Soto; three sisters, Cora Attebury, Gertrude Schlieter, and Ruth Terkeurst, all of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Willis; two daughters, Patty K. Willis and Janet Nigus; son, Jim Seeley; two brothers, LeRoy and John; and a sister, Anna Hinz.
