Donald A. Grob

Services for Donald A. Grob, 73, Lawrence, were Tuesday, March 9, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lawrence.
Mr. Grob died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at his home.
He was born Feb. 1, 1931, in De Soto, the son of Fred and Mabel (Warsop) Grob. He moved in 1944 to Lawrence from De Soto.
Mr. Grob served in the Kansas National Guard for seven years. He was a self-employed contractor and member of the Eagles Lodge Mount Oread Aerie No. 309.
He married Virginia L. Zillner on July 28, 1952, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters, Sue Elder, Newton, Elaine Creasey, Lawrence, and Janice Grob, De Soto; four sons, Allen Grob, Gary Grob and Dean Grob, all of Lawrence, and Brad Grob, Overland Park; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of Douglas County or Douglas County Visiting Nurses Association, sent in care of the mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence 66044.
