KDOT head outlines goals for K-10 study

Kansas Secretary of Transportation Deb Miller told a gathering in De Soto Wednesday that planning would start this month for future improvements to Kansas Highway 10 that will look at adding another lane to the freeway in the next decade.

Connie Euler’s visit to De Soto City Hall Monday was brightened by a quilt display that will grace the walls until April 1. The quilts are the featured artwork this month and are all owned by De Soto residents. The quilts include one by Ava Inman (left), which is owned by Larry and Rosie Inman, and another made by Evelyn Cala, owned by Boots Linden.

De Soto’s game plan in last Friday’s 65-46 loss to the Broncos in 4A sub-state action at Spring Hill was simple: Find the Bronco’s weakest links. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, their theory only slowed Spring Hill down for three quarters.
