The De Soto USD 232 Board of Education learned Tuesday it could save millions of dollars as it implements the district’s technology plan, but the cost of going ahead with a one-to-one computer-to-student program had one Board members calling for more options.

The De Soto Explorer was recognized April 12 by the Kansas Press Association at its annual state conference. The Explorer received first place for editorial writing; second places for design and layout excellent and general excellence; and four third places for best use of photos, editorial pages, sports pages and best front page.
