Kenneth O. Plumb
Services for Kenneth O. Plumb, 91, Olathe, were Monday, Dec. 9, at Garrett Chapel at College Church of the Nazarene in Olathe. Burial will be at a later date in De Soto Cemetery. His body was donated to the Kansas University Medical Center.
Mr. Plumb died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at Villa St. Francis, Olathe.
He was born April 8, 1911, in Webb City, Mo., the son of Charles Joseph and Lenora (Jenkins) Plumb. He moved to De Soto in 1943 from Clinton, Mo. He moved to Olathe in 1999.
Mr. Plumb attended Sedalia Business College. He was a clerk and general laborer for Procter & Gamble Co. in Kansas City, Kan., for 27 years until he retired in 1976. He also worked at Hercules Powder Plant in De Soto.
He was a member of College Church of the Nazarene and volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America for 35 years in De Soto and northeast Kansas.
He married Daisie K. Williams on June 18, 1932, in Clinton, Mo. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include four sons, Ken Plumb Jr., Pasadena, Calif., Jim Plumb, Jefferson City, Mo., John Plumb, Sedalia, Mo., and Gary Plumb, Olathe; a brother, Warren G. Plumb, Parkville, Mo.; three sisters, Georgia Rodenhauser, Woodbridge, Va., Pauline Brooke, Bentonville, Mo., and Virginia Schooler, Joplin, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A grandson died earlier.
