Shawnee man still missing
A Shawnee man is among the missing from last Tuesday's terrorist attack.
Navy Electronic Technician First Class Ronald John Hemenway was on duty when the hijacked jet slammed into the Pentagon in Arlington, Va.
In a prepared statement, the sailor's family described him as an "ideal son, father, husband, brother" and expressed hope that he would be found alive.
A Navy spokesman said Tuesday that Hemenway is still listed as missing.
The 37-year-old Hemenway joined the Navy seven years ago. He has been assigned to the Pentagon the last two years.
Hemenway is married and has a 3-year-old son and 10-month old daughter. He is a member of the Hope Lutheran Church in Shawnee.
