Mass of Christian Burial for Yvonne M. Roles, 98, Lawrence, was Tuesday, June 26, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lawrence. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lawrence.

Mrs. Roles died Friday, June 22, 2001, at Colonial Manor, Lawrence.

She was born Feb. 10, 1903, in Bourbonnais, Ill., the daughter of Arthur and Mathilda Loiselle.

A homemaker, Mrs. Roles had worked for Parsons and Sunflower ordnance plants during World War II.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and American War Mothers.

She married Carl W. Roles Dec. 7, 1928, in Frontenac. He died April 21, 1986.

A daughter, Shirley Crumrine, also died earlier.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Drake, Tonganoxie, Pearl Green, Boulder, Colo., and Rita Chartier, Naples, Fla.; three sons, Arthur G. McCune, Lawrence, Dale G. Roles, Warner Robins, Ga., and Billy A. Roles, DeSoto; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, Lawrence.
