Lisa Duncan, De Soto, and Brian Tuckfield, Lee's Summit, Mo., were married June 9, 2001, at De Soto Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Copeland officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Connie Duncan, De Soto. The groom is the son of Marion Tuckfield, Lee's Summit, Mo., and the late Robert Tuckfield.
Melissa Fletcher was maid of honor. Tim Tuckfield, brother of the groom, was best man.
Christy McWhirt, sister of the bride, Tera Thom, Chanda Vochatzer, Lori Wendt and Sundee Sipe were bridesmaids. Nick Duncan, brother of the bride, Chris Thornsberry, Aaron Kincaid, Jay Alvarado and Jason Haley were groomsmen.
Grace Klausen and Betsy Klausen were flower girls. Jag Rappe was ring bearer.
Chelsea Mattheson, cousin of the groom, and Austin Wendt were candle lighters. Carol Anderson, aunt of the bride, was guest book attendant. Lana McPherson, DeSoto, was organist.
A reception followed at the De Soto Community Center. The wedding party was taken from the church to the community center on a hay wagon, pulled by Darrel Zimmerman.
Sandy Cannell and Barbara Carter served at the reception.
Special guests included the grandparents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. George Nuessen, Madison.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of De Soto High School. She attends Longview Community College, Lee's Summit, Mo. She will later attend Graceland College in Independence, Mo. She is a full-time nanny.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Lee's Summit (Mo.) High School. He graduated from Joe Herndon Vocational School in 1997 with a specialty in diesel machinery. He is employed by the city of Lee's Summit, Mo.
The couple live in Lee's Summit, Mo.
