The Kansas Department of Transportation has planned its second public open house for the Johnson County Gateway: I-435/I-35/K-10 Interchange study for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Lenexa Conference Center, 11184 Lackman Road, Lenexa. Attendees can learn about recommended improvements and see construction-phasing plans for the interchange. Department of transportation staff will be available for questions. The interchange study developed a design concept to improve safety, mobility and efficiency in the area, which – with nearly 250,000 travelers a day – is one of the most congested in the state.
