Free screenings for vision, hearing, blood pressure and blood sugar

The Kansas Lions' mobile screening unit will be in Shawnee on Saturday, April 4, to provide free screenings for vision, hearing, blood pressure and blood sugar. The screening unit will be at the Wal Mart supercenter, 16100 W 65th street (one block north of Shawnee Mission Parkway and Maurer) from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift to accommodate those who need it. A variety of literature concerning health issues and Lion information will be available. The event is sponsored by the Shawnee Lions club. The screening unit has been in operation throughout Kansas since 1996.
